Las Vegas: Animation Capitol of the World

Alright so maybe Las Vegas isn't the animation capitol of the world or anything, but that's not going to stop me from going there this weekend for a much needed break. We leave tomorrow, a 5 hour drive from LA. I have to hand in my assignments early, but thats ok since Derek gave me another mid week mini crit at the Q and A. We'll see how the real crit goes when I get back next week.

Blue Man Group.

I hope you got to the Luxor.
The Blue Man Group have this crazy show on perception and
persistance of vision.
From an animation point of view,
it's a real interesting show,
plus it includes marshmellow fluff
and toilet paper the entire audience. The music is great too,
nice and procussiony.

Wow, wow, wow, Anthea!! You know what I really love about this shot?? The way the shiver runs through Stewie's body, it's SO cool! I've just been noticing how our dog does the same thing when she shakes herself, she starts at her shoulders and then the shake sort of travels all the way down to her feet... I think you've done a fabulous job of capturing the sort of disjointed way that humans shiver, and man! It's beautiful! How did you figure that out, with video ref, or did you just sort of know how to do it?? Spill! :D

And Vegas sounds like it rocked! Maybe we can do a big "animators in vegas" trip after graduation! :D

Oh man that shiver is sweeee-eee-eee-eeet Anthea. Really well done. I think this is one of those cases where less or no anticipation would work better though, It would really accentuate the impact the cold has on Stewie (or is that Stewina?)

And man, mini crits during the week from the D-man. I wonder if that means you are Dereks new favorite student? Don't tell Aja! :p
